FALL THEOLOGICAL CONFERENCE – September 26-29
Pastor Wayne, Donna Jo, and seminary intern Paul Shumaker will attend
the Southwestern Minnesota Synod’s Fall Theological Conference at Mount
Carmel and Luther Crest Bible Camps in Alexandria, Sept. 26-29. This is
the main annual continuing education event for pastors, interns, and
associates in ministry of the SW MN Synod. The topic this year is
“Evangelized: Receiving and Practicing God’s Gift of Forgiveness.” The
presenters will be Rev. Dr. Frederick Niedner and Rev. Dr. Janet Ramsey.
LOOKING AHEAD TO OCTOBER...
THE BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS will be held on October 3. For the
seventh year, our parish will be celebrating a “Blessing of the Animals”
service on Sunday, October 3, at 1:00pm at FL. This is in commemoration
of St. Francis of Assisi. Plan now to attend. Bring a friend and a pet.
SERVICE OF THE WORD FOR HEALING will be the liturgy for both
worship services on Sunday, October 17.
PASTOR WAYNE AND DONNA JO will be in Washington D.C., October
26-29. Donna Jo has been asked to speak about the Reverie Harp to the
Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, Maryland.
THIRD GRADERS WILL RECEIVE BIBLES on Reformation Sunday, October
31, at both services. (Letters will be sent.)

VISITS AND HOME COMMUNION…
If you are aware of people with special celebrations coming up, or with
special needs, please contact the parish office. We want to be informed
about the births, deaths, hospitalizations, illnesses, accidents,
anniversaries and special birthdays – so that we can uphold one another
in prayer. Also call the parish office to request home communion. Feel
free to leave a message on the answering machine.
